Super 8 by Wyndham North Bay

Rooms- The rooms were clean and spacious. There was a big desk for working at and a comfortable arm chair. The room came with a mini fridge. Service- The employees were pleasant and accommodating. Location- It is at the bottom of North Bay. If you have a car it isn’t a far commute but it’s not dead-centre so you do have to travel to get where you want to go. It is close to the North Bay beach, or if you plan to skidoo there is an entrance onto lake nipissing right across from the hotel. It was quiet and had lots of parking.

Staff was exemplary and very accommodating. The rooms are slightly dated but clean and well kept. Breakfast was well tended and kept replenished. Lots of parking areas, and well lit for safety at night. Suites were roomy and functional.

Love going here for the ice fishing opener every year. The rates arent bad, the service and breakfast is fantastic and its clean and good quality for your money and they allow pets! They are also very quick to fix any issues to ensure your stay is made comfortable.

We stayed at Super 8 for one night and really liked it. At first, we were looking for cottages, but most of them were fully booked. After arriving and seeing some of those nearby properties from the outside, I was actually very glad we chose Super 8 instead. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly. We stayed on the second floor, and everything felt clean and well maintained. The breakfast was okay — nothing fancy but decent, and I especially liked the waffle-making machine. There are a few restaurants nearby, and we even noticed a laundromat close to the hotel, which is convenient. The only thing to note is that the surrounding area looks a little sketchy, with some rundown buildings and a nearby motel where a few people were sitting outside on the ground, which didn’t look great. Overall though, we were very happy with our choice — the hotel itself felt safe, clean, and comfortable, and it’s only a 3-minute drive to the lake. Definitely better than some of the other nearby cottages we had considered!

This hotel is wonderful - friendly staff, clean rooms, free hot breakfast (the waffle maker is a wonderful addition). The seating area and gazebo outside really give a homey feel. The only issue we had during our stay, was that the people in the room above ours were stomping around, clanging dishes, slamming cupboards and moving furniture around at all hours of the night, causing us to not get much sleep. The hotel still gets 5 stars though, because that was nothing to do with the actual hotel. Absolutely would stay again, just maybe not in the busy season.

We had a quick stay over due to rain on our way to our campground. Pictures for website are not what you get. Hotel is dated, no elevator. The front desk clerk was gracious and let us see a room before booking so that was very nice. Room was very clean, and the beds were super comfortable. The shower temperature and pressure was perfect. Can't get much on the TV to watch. Breakfast was average. Waffle maker was a bonus. Staff are helpful and we were happy with our quick stay over.
